「ホテル・ニッコー高雄」の「ザ・ロビーラウンジ」でご提供しているこちらは、実はお召し上がりいただけるスイーツ。その名も「枯山水」です。
　
敷き詰められた“白砂”は、細かい砂糖とゴマ粉を混ぜたもの。中央の丸く剪定された庭木に見えるのは、シトラスクリームを抹茶チョコレートとピスタチオクランチで包み込んだスイーツです。ほかにも“苔石”のような抹茶ヘーゼルナッツボールや、“岩”のようにも見える香ばしいゴマのマカロンなど、さまざまな風味を持つ和の食材を使用した品々で枯山水に見立てました。
　
小さなレーキ（熊手）付きで、ご自身で砂紋を描く楽しみも。エグゼクティブペストリーシェフ、リウ・ジンチェンが生み出す、日本発のホテルならではの美しいスイーツをどうぞご堪能ください。
　
The Lobby Lounge at @hotelnikko_kaohsiung prides itself on its fine confections with a design echoing traditional Japanese Karesansui landscape gardens (tranquil Zen masterpieces made primarily of sand and stones to evoke nature and promote calm reflection).
　
Highlights of this sweet treat include a blend of fine sugar and powdered sesame representing the garden’s white-sand ground, citrus cream-filled matcha chocolate and pistachio crunch expressing an elegantly pruned central green shrub, matcha hazelnut balls as moss-covered stones, and aromatic sesame macarons as garden rocks. All elements are expertly crafted using premium Japanese ingredients to recreate the tranquil beauty of a true Karesansui landscape.
　
You can even create your own sand patterns with the miniature rake included. Savor this exquisite and uniquely Japanese confection, masterfully crafted by the hotel’s renowned Executive Pastry Chef, Nicolas Liu.
