Showa Kinen Park
The park is 1.653 km², which is approximately 39 times the size of the Tokyo Dome. Visitors can see a variety of trees and flowers in each season, such as cherry blossoms, gingko trees, and cosmos. The park also has a beautiful Japanese garden, where visitors can enjoy the beauty of Japanese architecture, as well as matcha green tea and seasonal sweets while relaxing by the garden.

Ishikawa Brewery
Located in Fussa City on the west side of Tokyo, Ishikawa Brewery is a Japanese sake brewery that has been in business since the 19th century. With the concept of a “sake-drinking theme park,” the brewery features sake and craft beer, where visitors can taste freshly brewed and seasonal sake on the spot.
It is recommended to take the monthly sake brewery tours or take a stroll around the grounds, where you can learn about the 150 years of history since the brewery was built. This is definitely a great spot in Tokyo, where you can experience nature, learn about history, enjoy delicious sake and cuisine all at once.
Akishima・Showa no mori Junkyu Muto Sculpture museum
Located in a wooded area on the north side of Forest Inn Showakan, an outdoor exhibition space for marble sculptures by world-renowned sculptor and painter, Junkyu Muto. The works are arranged to blend in with the sunlight filtering through the trees, so that visitors can experience art and nature together.
Total 9 sculptures are exhibited, including“CIRCLE WIND” ―PAX2003, MALE AND FEMALE, and “DISK WIND”. Please enjoy the harmony of nature and art.
Mount Takao
Mount Takao has the world’s highest number of climbers, at 3 million per year. It is a three-star tourist destination in the Michelin Guide, which is the only place recognized as a national heritage in Tokyo. Located only an hour from the center of Tokyo, the mountain is not only suitable for serious climbers but also for small children and the elderly, using the cable car and lifts.
There are many spots and activities you can enjoy at Mount Takao besides mountain climbing, such as visiting the “Takao-san Yakuo-in Yuki-ji”, an ancient temple with a history of over 1,200 years. You can also eat the Tororo soba (buckwheat noodles) and charcoal-grilled dumplings, or go to the hot springs and seasonal events.
